Seat swaps only work if everyone feels safe. Here's exactly how EzySeat protects your data, your privacy and your journey.
Your PNR is locked away
- Encrypted with AES-256-GCM the moment you add it
- Shown only as 45••••••78 — never in full, not even to support staff
- Permanently deleted 48 hours after your journey ends
Private by default
- Other travellers see only your first name, initial and rating
- Chat happens inside EzySeat — your phone number is never shown
- We never sell or share your data with advertisers
Nothing happens without a yes
- A swap is confirmed only when both travellers accept
- Cancelling needs both sides too (auto-approved after 12h of silence)
- You can pause matching or keep your seat at any time
Know who you're swapping with
- Verified email and phone badges
- Ratings after every completed swap
- Optional women-only matching
Account security
- Sign in with Google or a strong password
- Optional two-factor authentication (authenticator app)
- See and sign out of all your active sessions
Honest about the rules
- EzySeat isn't affiliated with IRCTC, Indian Railways or any airline
- Seat changes are at the TTE's or cabin crew's discretion
- Flight seats are self-declared — always double-check with your partner
Meet in the open
Swap in the coach, in view of others. Don't go anywhere private with someone you've just met.
Don't hand over belongings
A seat swap never requires handing over bags, tickets, ID or money. Walk away if anyone asks.
Report anything off
Use “Report” on the swap page or contact us. We review every report and can block accounts.
